Accessibility is Inclusivity

At Temptrik, we are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all our members. We understand the importance of accessibility and are actively working to improve our venue and event offerings to accommodate everyone’s needs. Here’s what you need to know about accessibility at Temptrik events:

Membership forms For new members, there are a couple of forms that need to be signed. To assist with accessibility we have copies of these available that can be filled out online. Email us at contact@temptrik.com and we will send you a copy.

Parking and Transportation While we do not have designated parking, street parking is typically available on the block, and there’s usually space at the Romance Shop next door. For those seeking transportation assistance, we encourage you to utilize our ride-share thread in our Fetlife group or email us at contact@temptrik.com. Our community is supportive, and we’ll do our best to arrange a lift to the venue with a trusted volunteer.

Venue Navigation Our venue is spread across multiple floors, with the main barrier being stairs. We are aware of the challenges this presents and are exploring solutions. Once on a particular floor, whether it’s the dungeon or the munch area, the spaces are flat and relatively clear of obstructions, thanks to our diligent volunteers.

Service Animals We welcome service animals at our events, especially in the social areas. We advise reaching out in advance to ensure we can take steps to accommodate your service animal, particularly if you plan to visit the dungeon which can be particularly challenging for animals.

Restrooms Restrooms are available on both floors of our venue, ensuring ease of access once you’re on the respective floor.

Quiet Areas For those who need a moment of tranquility, we offer quiet areas for aftercare and a fenced-in smoke pit with two ends 50 feet apart, providing a quiet and secure outdoor space if needed.

Assistance and Accommodations Our team, including ChwiirLeader have experience working with youth with disabilities. She is ready to assist with any questions or concerns about accessibility. We also provide written materials and are willing to offer additional written information upon request.

Feedback and Future Plans We’ve received positive feedback regarding our efforts towards accessibility, and we’re listening to suggestions for improvement. We’re currently fundraising to repair the stair chair permanently and planning to construct a wheelchair ramp for the front steps and back entry in winter/spring 2024.

Volunteer Program Our volunteer program is adaptive to the needs and capabilities of our volunteers, allowing for flexibility in tasks and providing support and breaks as needed. We believe in empowering our volunteers while ensuring they have the assistance they require. We also have sliding scale pricing available for volunteers to help increase accessibility.

We are on a journey to make Temptrik events as accessible as possible, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions. Together, we can ensure that our community is a place where everyone can participate and enjoy the unique experiences we offer.
